Dear Friends,
Thanks for a wonderful summer, we can't believe it's already coming to an end. Fall
is incredible here in Leadville and Twin Lakes, though, so we can't be too sad to see the seasons change.
If you're thinking about a fall foliage trip, you'll want to put Lake County on
the agenda. There are so many ways to enjoy the beautiful colors...scenic drives,
a hike or ride on the Mineral Belt Trail, on horseback or by train. Plus, you'll find plenty of friendly and affordable places to eat, stay, shop and play. Give us a call at 888-532-3845 and we'll help you plan your trip.
If you'd like to stay in touch more frequently, you can read the blog and follow us on Facebook and Twitter, too.
Everything that is Colorado is right here...
shouldn't you be here, too?

A REASON TO VISIT NOW: SPECTACULAR FALL FOLIAGE
Fall arrives early in Leadville, Colorado, where majestic mountains covered in patches
of green, gold and fiery orange are crisscrossed by streams and patches of early
snow. In nearby Twin Lakes, pristine glacial lakes, scenic campsites and numerous
hiking trails add to the area's appeal to outdoor enthusiasts of all sorts. Located
in the center of the state, Leadville and Twin Lakes are an easy drive from most
places. All of the highways in Lake County are part of the Top of the Rockies Scenic
& Historic Byway, making the journey alone worth the trip. With altitudes rarely falling below 9,000 feet, the byway is worthy of its name. You'll cross the 10,424-foot Tennessee Pass on Route 24 from Minturn, en route to the mining town of Leadville, the highest
incorporated community in the U.S. (Photo courtesy of Mount Elbert Lodge)
