FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE For more information, contact: According to author Perry Kerr, “You’re tired of your soft life. Your roof rack has been collecting dust in the corner of the garage for too long. You’ve had enough fancy dinners, movie nights, and PTA meetings for one lifetime. You want rock, sky, rapids, altitude, dirt, snow, and great coffee. Don’t look down, just jump. Move to Leadville.” “Of course, we already know that Leadville is the best place to live,” explained Gail Dunning, Marketing Action Committee. “But it sure is great when a widely respected national magazine with such broad reach agrees!” Several community members were interviewed for the article, including Ken Chlouber, John Cirullo, Craig Robertson and Amy Tait. The article credits kayakers, mountain bikers, ultrarunners, snowboarders, and, “other freakish outdoorsy types who actually revel in Leadville’s status as the highest town in the country” for recolonizing the town after the Climax mine closed in 1982. ### About Leadville and Twin Lakes | |
