Here in North America's highest city, we don't let winter slow us down, especially
if we're racing! Our calendar is so full of things to do and see this winter, it's
hard to fit it all in. But, for your sake, we're going to give it a try.
In the next three weeks, you can: meet veterans of the 10th Mountain Division and
the makers of The Last Ridge, a documentary about their efforts; enjoy a campfire
and moonlight guided ski or snowshoe tour; compete in triathlon, Nordic and winter
mountain bike races; relax après ski to the tunes of Leon Joseph Littlebird; and
wrap it all up with ski joring, sled dog races, hot air balloon rides, a paintball
biathlon and broomball games.
If that's not enough, you can always ski, sled, ice skate, swim, snowshoe, snowmobile,
shop, eat, have a snowball fight, visit a museum or read a book by the fire. Be
sure to check our calendar often for lots of reasons to visit Leadville.
Stop by the Leadville Lake County Visitor Center at 809 Harrison Avenue when you're
in town. You'll find maps, brochures and friendly folks to answer your questions.
