Ski Joring and Crystal Carnival
Ski joring, which entails a horse and rider pulling a skier down a snow-packed road over jumps while spearing rings in a timed competition, has been an annual event in Leadville, Colorado, since 1949. This captivating winter sport is as much fun to watch as it is to participate in! Held the first weekend in March along with the Crystal Carnival.
Leadville Trail 100
The Leadville Trail 100 races are among the most challenging in the country. Events include a trail marathon, heavy half marathon, 50-mile and 100-mile running races, 50-mile and 100-mile bike races, 10K run and training camps.
Boom Days
Leadville's Annual Boom Days, which takes place the first weekend in August, has been honored by the United States Congress as a Local Legacy Event. This three-day celebration of the area’s mining heritage offers entertainment for people of all ages and interests.
Victorian Days
